Swelling in cheek

My 18 month old DD2 has a firm swelling in her cheek about the size of a £2 coin. The skin is red and slightly hot with an irregular edge. There's no redness inside her mouth and it doesn't seem to be sore - she will let me touch it. She has a similar lump in the other cheek which is slightly smaller and a small red patch on her chin also with a lump. She isn't unwell, doesn't have a temp and is eating as usual. She has had a canine come through recently and when I took her to the Dr she put it down to this. I'm not so sure, particularly as I have now noticed a similar red mark and small lump under DD1 chin.

I was wondering if this could be a cold injury like frostbite as we had 10 inches of snow on Monday, both were out playing. Tuesday morning was -12degrees though she wasn't out much and we first noticed DD2's swelling on Wednesday morning.

So, has anyone else had swelling like this due to teething or any experience of frostbite or any other suggestions?. Both DD's lumps and redness are going down so are on the mend.
