Ds has had stomach pain for over a year. had blood tests, ultrasound, various docs seen at hosp, been on omeprazole, stool tests. they can't find anything! THis is good, but the pain is there daily. the hosp have suggested he have an appointment with CAMH. I am concerned if this is the right thing to do? can anybody offer any info on it, am worried about any stigma?

the options are a discharge, review in six months, or speak to go for second opinion. am at a bit of a loss really. the is no obvious reason for the pain. Ds is sensitive and a bit or a worrier, but nothing that would cause this pain. Bright at school, doing well, and I keep him busy with hobbies.

thanks x

Has anyone suggested migraines? Read migraine Uks section on young suffers.

Where is the pain? I had terrible stomach pain at 13 on the right side like you would with appendicitis. Got admitted to hospital and diagnosed with a pulled muscle. The pain carried on for another year, I had almost monthly doctors appointments because I still had the pain but I wasn't being sick with it. About a year after I first got admitted to
Hospital I ha another doctors appointment who said to me to go to hospital if I started to be sick with it. That night I did, and the following day a surgeon came round, decided to have a look inside with a camera and if they found what it was, would sort it. Turned out to be appendicitis all along, but it was also curling, like a pigs tail!

Obviously if its not on the same side then my story has no relevance, but thought I'd share!
