Sick at night after tummy bug.

We've had a sickness bug that's doing it's rounds. OH and I were just sick for 24 hours, dd aged 3 for 3 days. Dd has gradually been eating more, she's drinking ok. For the past 3 nights she's been very sick at around midnight, I'm assuming it's because she's been lying down as it hasn't happened during the day. So it's now seven days since she was first sick.

OH is insisting that she goes to the DR today, which will mean an emergency appointment as there's no normal apps until next Wednesday pm. (I don't feel it's an emergency as she's fine all day) And OH is making me feel like I don't care as I'm saying it's a bug, it will pass. Most of the kids at nursery were sick for a whole week.

Due to the 48 hour return to nursery rule if this carries on she's going to be off all week again which is a shame as she probably would be able to go back in a couple of days.

Any thoughts? Give it another day or so?

The first bout of norovirus can last around a week in babies/toddlers. DD was vomiting for a week and still managed to pass it on to relatives 1 week after stopping vomiting. I know it's grim, but you have to keep her from nursery and ride it out. Just keep checking for dehydration

We had this with our toddler the first time she got a sickness bug, every night at 10.15pm for three nights after the last daytime vomit she was sick.

Its not at all uncommon, I was still BFing (she was about 14months?) and so removed all other food for 24 hours and she eventually settled. I did lose nearly 2 whole weeks of work though :(
