antibiotics question

Ds has got antibiotics for another ear infection, dh and I were talking and he seems to think starting them today will still help his infection even tho he just got them. I said best to start them on a new day so he gets his full 3 times a day dosage.

Will it matter if he waits till tom or should I start it today even tho he will only get one dosage?

Surely its better to start asap, agree with your dh. I dont understand your logic at all.

Start asap, antibiotics take some time to take effect so you need to get the treatment going.

Start them now.

Why wait? If a/bs are indicated, they need to be started straight away, sooner started, sooner better, hopefully.
FWIW a/b are being prescribed less and less for ear infections, most are viral so don't respond, written up in BMJ.However, I'm not here to justify their use or not but if you've been given the,m, start them now.
