There's still a long way to go. He needs to be:
Off his pain meds
Off his I/v feeds
Liver better
Not needing oxygen overnight
Ideally off I/v anti-fungals.

So still a while off. But people are starting to think about it!

normal bilirubin is 20 or less. Wednesday Joe's was over 100. Yesterday: just over 90... Today 57! Squeeeeeee!

Sorry, it's a liver enzyme and it being so high was what had alerted the Drs to his poorly liver. Hence it going down is a good thing.
