Dt2 age 3 has had the flu for 8 days,
Background, lots of high temps full wack of ibruphen and calpol.
Had a limp Thursday then wouldn't walk on Friday so took him to gp who sent him to hospital to be checked by pediatrcian. Who diagnosed reactive arthritis caused by flu, he's been miserable since. Crying moaning lieing about, which is him. Took him back to the this morning and she checked his ears said they were very red and inflamed so has given antibiotics. She asked for a wee sample but he just wouldn't wee. Anyway she said not to worry as he's on antibiotics.
Anyway he still hasn't wee'd since his first wee at 7.30 this morning.
Any tips?

How much has he drunk today? I don't think it's unheard of for a 13 year old be be able to hold their bladder for that length of time but I would be worried about a 3 year old that had.

How much has he drunk? Antibiotics for an ear infection would not treat a UTI so if there was infection you'd need A sample.

Given how ill he's been I might all the GP

Thanks he hasn't drank as much as usual, will keep trying, he's perked at the moment and playing so will keep watching. His twin brother wee's usually about twice as much as him. But have never known him go this long, he's just had a big cup of chocolate milk so will see if that works.
