Little white spots

Hi - I'm hoping someone wise here can advise

My DC has a few little white spots on his face just underneath his eye area. Really only about 4 of them - none anywhere else.

What could these be?

Thanks

Milia - google images and see of it's that. Quite common but very difficult to remove, they do eventually go or soften a little do you can poke them out. I had one once and it took months!

Whats his ethnic origin? A Greek friend of mine has this and says its a mediterranean thing. She has them taken off by the doctor.

Paxdora · 25/02/2013 15:58

Hi. I've just googled milia and yes this is them.

He's not bothered about them - tbh I don't think he's aware of them but is at that tender age where kids start noticing these things and tease.

I'm going to read up on them to see if there's anything I can do to get rid of them. Am wary of picking at them for fear of scarring.

Thanks for your prompt replies.

Just don't be tempted to squeeze them - they are not pimples! I'd check with the doctor.

DS (nearly 2) has 2 and DP is desperate to squeeze them, been vetoed by me though!

He is mixed race (White British/Middle Eastern/Pakistani) - didn't realise it could be connected like mongolian blue spots.

DS has them sometimes too (mixed ethnicity - part ME) and he hadn't really noticed them. They do look suspiciously like pimples though!
