Ive phoned NHS 24 given details and waiting on nurse phoning back.

He started being sick around 12 and slept til 4 and was sick again and again at 10 this morning. He has been sleeping on and off for an hr now.

Im worried about him being this sleepy.

What age? Has he had any fluids at all?

babyrose · 24/02/2013 15:43

He is almost 3, he has been drinking on and off wee sips. He keeps falling back asleep

Does he complain of pain, can he look at a bright light, can he put his chin on his chest? Has he had a wee at all?

beautifulgirls · 24/02/2013 16:34

Sleepy plus high temp should be checked out in person by a doctor.

StopEatingThatMud · 24/02/2013 16:38

Get him to out of hours to be checked and if he gets difficult to rouse don't feel at all bad about going straight to a&e. They'll be happy to check him over.

dikkertjedap · 24/02/2013 16:47

TBH it is not so surprising he has been sleeping on and off for about 1 hour now, given that he has three big vomiting spells during the night so had very disturbed sleep.

I would see how he is otherwise, and yes, by all means try to rouse him, check breathing, whether he is in pain or not and phone OOH to see what they say.

Hope all's well with DS now babyrose.
