Dd swollen shin

Dd1 hit her leg when sledging into a tree early January,
She had a bad bruise and had been mentioning on and off but, to be honest just said its a bad bruise it will take time to go.
She's just mentioned it again and I checked and her right leg shin really swollen compared to left, it's only a faint bruise now, unsure what to do, it's obviously not broken but wondering wether to talk her to the gp or give it a bit longer.

I'd definitely go back to the GP - it's been more than a month already? You say 'it's obviously not broken', but children can get something called green stick fractures which are not complete breaks and so can be missed initially, but do definitely need medical attention.

Thanks, she's been walking fine on it since which is why I just but it down to a bruise, but it's the difference in the shins that worried me.
She's just turned 13 btw can they still get green stick fractures at this age?

Ah, I was assuming she was younger. I'm not a medic, but the friends' children who've had green stick fractures have all been much younger. In any case I would think anything that is still noticeable after this long must be worth a trip to the doctor. Hope it turns out to be nothing, though.
