My twins were diagnosed with nummular eczema today. They had dry spots for the first few months of their lives but it has all escalated since end of November.

DT 1 is suffering terribly and the girls have been put on steroid treatment (fucibet) to start.

In short the consultant siad it is not diet related and there is nothing i can do at the moment to help them apart from steroid treatment. I had stopped dairy and eggs in hope that would help.Had them on soya milk etc..

I'm wondering what your experience is of this? Does your child have any specific dietary restrictions? how do you control it?any alternative remedies? is it controllable? He said it's the most difficult type of eczema to control and has the worst itch. How does it affect your childs life? At moment DT1 is up screaming most of the night the itching is dementing her :(

I'm really hoping things will improve soon! I can't bear seeing them in such discomfort, they had such a tough start being premi tiny twins. I just want to see them content and comfortable again.
