Dd2 is 17 months she started with sickness and diarrhea on the 24th Jan, it was awful for about a week them she picked up for a few days, since them we have had a huge vomit every few days, off her food still, some days diarrhea some days day solid poo but very pale, sick again today. Am at my wits end, have seen gp twice who says gastroentroitis (sp) but it's still going on. Anyone else had similar or any tips?

Should add that last weekend dd1 had 12 hours of sickness and diarrhea and 8 had it Thursday just gone. We both had it severely and quickly recovered though. I am a single parent and finding it all exhausting and worrying.

Longest my dc had something like that was 2 weeks.
So it can drag on. ESP if its the first time the child has had a gastro infection.
It's probably noro.
Hope she feels better soon x

Dd has been very similar as has ds to a lesser extent. Thy are 6 and 2.

However, did you mention to doc about the poo being pale?

MrsRogerSterling · 10/02/2013 19:59

Bea yes I did, she said after gastro sometimes toddlers can be lactose intolerant for a while and that could make the poo pale.
