My friends little boy has just found out that his leukemia has returned Hmm he is 5 (maybe just about to turn 6). What sort of things can I send to them as I think they are in for a long hospital stay as chemo has just re-started. Anything mum could do with? They are in the US but lived here for 10 years, so is there anything people miss from the UK?

I've never been in a similar situation but off the top of my head:

Nice soap/ kid-themed soap
Box of tissues
Slipper socks
Blankets for the parents as well as little boy
Voucher for a supermarket?
Stationery and colouring books etc
Cheap mp3 player with some cheerful music/ funny podcasts/ audiobooks on it
Hot choc/ coffee/ tea (British?) and mugs
PJs? Can never have enough!
Pizza delivery voucher?

My thoughts go out to the family. It's lovely of you to do a package.
