Does chicken pox always go with a fever?

My dd (2) just started a kind of pimply rash, not a lot, but seems to have pimples on her back, front and a couple on her face.

She was a bit grizzly last week with the odd 38 degree kind of temperature but nothing serious.

No temperature now but wondering if it could be chicken pox, there's a bit of it around... Any thoughts?

My housemate told me that if it is, her rash will be much more spread tomorrow....?

Ps and she seems totally full of beans right now! Not ill... Currently trying to get out of going to bed by sitting on the potty for as long as humanly possible... Sigh
