12mo - ear infection but no temp?

12mo DD has been stuck to me all afternoon, very sad and whingey, and pulling at her ears. But no temperature at all and no smell from her ears. She settles only if I'm walking around cuddling her. Doesn't even seem particularly interested in boob.
Any advice? She's my first and it's her first time to be ill :(

Take to the GP and get him / her to check her ears etc

Not all infections result in temperatures.

Alternatively, DS pulled his ears a lot when he was teething.

I'd still get it checked by the GP to reassure yourself/get the treatment needed.
