Hate to ask (boak) but best nit lotion for a 4 year old ? - longish hair the comb-through method might end in (my) tears...

cover the hair with tea tree conditioner, massage in scalp.

wrap in towel or a hat will do and wait for 30 mins or so.

wash and comb through.

repeat in 3 days.

job done

I bought the cheap, generic one from Tesco and used them on my 2 year old and on me when pregnant (several times)

You will have to comb, sorry.

Best nit treatment is Hedrin, by miles.

Loads of conditioner, then comb with a normal comb (before washing the conditioner out), followed by a nitty gritty comb, then rinse. Repeat every few days til no nits / eggs come out.
I know you said no to combing, but honestly, its the only way forward.

Thank you all. Had to work and come home too late to do this tonight.

And she often wanders into my room in the night...

Think I'll have to do me too.

Use the Hedrin mousse as per instructions, but you must get a nitty gritty comb and comb, comb, comb obsessively or you will never get rid of them.
