Itchy bottom inside?

My daughter has had an itchy bottom (inside as she puts it) for the last 3 days. I've had a look on the outside and can't see any redness, swelling or worms. She says it's happening in the day and evening, has had no problems going to toilet and she is well in herself. Does anyone have any ideas?

Threadworms probably. Look in her poo, but I expect GP will prescribe worm tablets.

Thanks. She's 11 and has been looking herself, but will have to have an inspection myself.

If it's threadworm, Ovidex or similar over the counter from supermarket pharmacy. Remember second dose in (I think) 14 days. Do the whole family. Sixty degree wash bedding and towels. No shared towels. Short finger nails, no nose picking. It's really common and easily transferred in primary schools hand to mouth but people don't talk about it the way they do headlice. Very easily eradicated. Try pill in segment of satsuma followed by drink, goes down lovely. Ah yes, that takes me back...
