Well, we have made it into 2013 - that means dd1 finished 2012 without a single hospital admission for her asthma.

She is still on Seretide and Singulair and still has flare ups where she needs Ventolin or a trip to the GP for Pred but throughout 2012 she has been strong enough to get through it without a trip to A&E.

I feel we have come a long way since that scary first night at 19 months old in a ambulance with sirens and lights going, while they tried to keep the oxygen mask on her.

She is 6.8 now and it has been tough at times and who knows what is on the horizon but we spent so many nights awake worrying about her that I didn't think we would get this far so quickly.

Wishing a hospital free year to all the asthmatics here.

I am very jealous!

DS only had 4 admissions and about 10 a and e trips which is an improvement!

Your post gives some faith it will improve, can't see 2013 being our a and e free year though!
