Dd has a lump under one nipple

She's 11, totally flat chested.

She's found a hard lump under one nipple. It does feel very hard, circular and a bit bigger than the nipple but very central.

So I was wondering if its something that might happen before the breast starts to grow?

But her other side has no lump.

Sounds like a breast bud to me. Perfectly normal, just breasts beginning to grow.

Thanks, it just concerned me that it was only one side. However I've just googled breast buds and it says its not uncommon to get them on one side first. Phew.

Dd will be pleased, she's desperate to need a bra!

Not that she needs one yet, but she'll be pleased things are progressing.
