Nasty cough, 4th day of high temp, 2nd day of antibiotics, still at 39.8

DS is 4. Is there anything else I can do? or just keep up with the calpol/nurofen and antibiotics.

I thought that by now being 2nd day of antibiotics that temperature would have been back to normal but now it seems to be getting worse, and the cough isn't getting any better.

There is so much going round here at the moment and also a couple of cases of children developing pneumonia, it has bothered me even more than usual.

Can anybody advise or reassure me please?

Keep it up, make sure he's not wearing too much and phone NHS ooh. That's what they are there for.

Thank you, have stripped him off and opened a couple of windows. It is such a worry, after 3 sleepless nights already I foolishly thought that the antibiotics would have started to make him better already but he seems worse if anything!
