Dd has a bronchial infection, probably viral bronchiolitis and after two days of sleeping, raised temperature and rapid breathing, she has been improving for two days, so still has some congestion and a bad cough.
When I took her to the doctor on Thursday he said there was a chance the infection is bacterial and prescribed amoxicillin. Her improvement the next day could relate to this or be the natural progression of the illness.
Since yesterday she has been arching her back. Today she has been reluctant to take milk, though seems happier when she eventually has some. Now she is arching and crying and struggling to sleep, waking every few minutes when she does. I am holding her upright against me to sleep, as I did when she was very congested. Last night was the only recent one she slept for long in her cot.
I am wondering if the amoxicillin has caused acid reflux. This is not listed as a side effect. Dd has never had reflux before.
