Is this a normal amount/consistancy of poo?!

Hello, just looking for a bit of advice re: the good old topic of baby poo!

I have a lovely 7 week old daughter who thankfully appears healthy and happy and is gaining weight, but I'm just very surprised/shocked at the frequency and consistancy of her poo. On a typical day she will do about 5 explosive (ie sounds like a power hose!) yellow, watery poos that leak out the nappy at least once a day. She is exclusively breastfed on demand and I know that bf babies do have runnier stools but I'm just a bit worried that maybe she has diarrhoea or some kind of intolerance even though I have told the GP and health visitor and they don't seem concerned. I just find it a bit odd as I know that some babies don't even poo on a daily basis at this age. Anyone else have a similarly "productive" infant?

Absolutely normal! If its sloppy, noisey,
looks like chick Korma (without the chicken) and smells like bread or a chicken dinner it's fine.

Yes, completely normal. DD was EBF and pood every time I fed her.

Agree its completely normal. My DS also pooed with every feed. You might find that her pooing pattern changes as she gets older, so e ebf babies poo with every feed some can go as long as 2 weeks.

At least it's a good sign, you must be putting lots of calories in her to get so many poos Xmas Smile

When dd was little I swear she had one tube which went all the way through! Food in = poo out.
