Epsom salt bath and children

Dd has been unwell, tired and achy for at least a week, its a bit of a horrid virus going around. she is 6 and does a sporty activity most days, football, tennis or swimming. She has a week off this week and she was complaining of painful knees and neck over past few days. I wondered if an person salt bath would be safe for children, I've done a little google search and there is nothing concrete concerning use with children. Does anyone else use for their unwell or sporty children, and do you see benifits?

An Epsom not a person salt bath obviously.

my ds's (6,5 and 3) have epsom salt baths, ds1 is hypermobile and often complains of sore legs and arms, a salt bath seems to help him get to sleep easier, I would describe him as having restless legs before - all 3 have a salt bath after swimming. I just put a couple of cups in a bath (no bubble bath) and let them have a soak/play for 20 mins or so before washing and getting out - they don't have one every day min once a week max 2-3 depending on activity.
I found this link people use it to

I found that too, thanks, maybe folk law but at least I know its ok for kids. It seems to work for me so why not for my dd. I did her one last night and no definite benefits but we will see if we do it regularly thee may be obvious benefits, bless her she is really unwell with the flu.

To be honest I've often wondered if the more settled sleep us due to the 30 mins bath and therefore wind down rather than salts but as it works for me and ds's like ut I figure it can't hurt
Hope dd is better soon x
