DD is 5.
On Saturday she got home from a friend's house where she'd been playing for 4 hours, and reported that she hadn't needed to go to the toilet while she was there. So I sent her straight off to the toilet and she sat on it for ages and was upset because she couldn't wee.
I thought maybe this was because she had held it in all that time at her friend's house
- anyway, later she managed to go, and she managed to go fine on Sunday, but this morning she couldn't go again just before leaving for school (so she had been once already, when she first woke up) and she was crying and saying it was stuck and wouldn't come down, and she could feel it stuck.
It was time to leave so I told her to try again when she got to school.
Anyway, does this sound like something I should be seeing the doctor about? Could it be an infection? She is fine in all other ways, apart from slightly loose stools for the last few days, but not what I would classify as diarrhoea. No temperature or anything, eating normally and her usual self.
And if it is doctor material - should I be trying for an urgent appointment (ie take her along to the wait-around-for-hours no-appointment clinic today or tomorrow morning), or can it wait a bit longer?
We are not in the UK, so can't phone NHS direct!
