DD is 4 years old and ha been complaining of itchiness 'down there'. The doctor prescribed canestan cream. However for two mornings she's had discharge that looks as though someone has sneezed on her vulva. It looks just like that. I've made another doc appointment for next Tuesday. is this likely to be something urgent though? Thank you.

tetley, sorry I've no idea what it could be. Thrush is normally white & doesnt smell though.
In case it is have you tried any natural approaches for management of possible thrush e.g eating probiotic yoghurt (yes some say apply topically Smile), avoiding sugar & yeast for a few days, add vinegar to bath water - I know not a great smell but its supposed to upset the balance of any fungal growth.

If it were me, I'd want to see someone sooner than Tuesday.

Does it smell fishy? Could be BV if it does.
