please help , advice on 9 mth ear infection

I took my lo last week to doc, both ears red and given antibiotic. We finished that yesterday and today she is hot , restless and clearly suffering again. Doc said she had virus and meds prob wouldn't work. Giving calpol but don't know what else to do.

Go back and get checked. Ds had constant ear infections from 3 months until he had grommets.
He'd usually have about 48 hours between finishing the antibiotics and the next ear infection starting. But the antibiotics always cleared it up for a time.

If you can get ibroprofin too then you can alternate it with calpol which helps sleeping. Ds found sleeping with his ear against me helped, but wasn't any good for my sleep. You could try a (not too hot) hot waterbottle next to his ear too.
