My dd seems to have woken up with a cold thus morning. Snotty, sneezing and coughing a bit. To be honest she slept more last night and woke less than in the last couple of weeks but is this a symptom? She doesn't have a temperature and woke up happy and smiley.

I just want to know what I can do to help and make sure she doesn't get worse?

Not a lot really.

Use olbas oil to help her breathe at night. She is just old enough for calpol if you think she may need it.

I think as long as she is drinking lots and seems happy then just let her fight it . If she develops a temperature you can't bring down or seems listless and not feeding well then see a doctor .
Above all trust your instincts and you will be fine .

I used to put a few drops on a flannel and drape it near the cot. It works a bit like vicks, there may even be a vicks for babies(?)
