My 5yr old ds has been experiencing mild stomach problems for the past couple of weeks. It has been affecting him from around 5pm each day and resulted in him becoming very lethargic & wanting to go to bed. We saw a doctor last week & he had blood tests that came back normal. She did comment that it sounds like he has an overactive bowel (???).

There have been two incidents last week when he pooed in his pants in the evening - this is completely out of character & something that has never happened before.

So, yesterday he hasn't done a poo all day. He is clearly uncomfortable & has been complaining about his tummy. He is saying he is scared to do a poo & when he tries sitting on the toilet he sits there rigid & then jumps off refusing to go.

Any advise on what I should do? There is a walk in clinic down the road I could try - what do you think?
