He has a mild cold too and struggles to blow his nose (age 11 but dyspraxic). He has done 5 mins of steam inhalation at least 6 times this evening but he's still away and just constant coughing. I've given him an extra pillow.

Please come tell me your tips for getting rid of it - he's supposed to be going away this weekend so we want it gone by friday please Smile

TIA

MyDS has a shocking cough too but he's 2

Have you tried slathering Vick on his feet and putting socks on? Lots of Vick on chest too. Sleep on lots of pillows to prop him up to almost sleep upright. Leave window open slightly as cold air is supposed to help. Lots of fluids
Paracetamol as the coughing will hurt his chest after a while.

Thanks for the reply choc. Yes, doing all those things. It sounds like the cold has really come out too this morning. A school teacher apparently told him he should go to the doctors but what for? He has a cough snd a cold and we all know there still is no cure for that Smile
