How likely is it that DD has norovirus again within a week?

DD1 came down with the vomitting bug last Friday night. Was sick a lot on the Saturday and once on Sunday morning. She returned to school on Tuesday and has been fine all this week.

DD2 has been vomitting intermittently since Wednesday - is fine all day then is sick after being asleep for a few hours. DH got it badly yesterday morning and has stopped being sick today.

DD1 was sick again this evening just before bed - having complained of a pain in her tummy. Can she have caught it again so quickly? I'm hoping it's just a result of having been fed too many treats by GPs this morning/afternoon or due to over-enthusiastic tooth brushing (she has a ridiculously sensitive gag-reflex) but I guess I have to be prepared for the worst again - though my hands are red-raw from all the hand-washing I've been doing!

Is she otherwise ok?

If so I shouldn't fret just see how she is in the morning.

But bugs are picked up all the time and one may not be the same as the last one so she could have no bug or the same bug or a new one.

Apologies for not returning sooner - took advantage of an early night as everyone else was finally asleep. Have been cleaning like mad this morning too now that DH is out of quarantine.

DD was fine - no further sickness and has been full of beans today and has eaten and drunk with no problems. I think I shall be having a quiet word with Grandma to make sure she doesn't overdo it with the treats next time and that a 'no' is a perfectly acceptable response to requests for more Grin.

Possible. I had it twice when I had it, was fine inbetween and it was a week between episodes.

Lots of handwashing and antibac everything

Heh, should have read your more recent post before responding!

Thanks Smile. Good to know though. I was under the impression that once you'd had it that was it for a while but clearly not. Hoping that's the end of it for this house for now - I've managed to avoid it so far.
