Can someone pls help me identify this spot

I'm new to this site, looking desperately for answers as the doctor has told me to be patient and it will go. The spot is located on my two yr old boys shoulder, it has been there for about 5 months - I've also got a 3 months old baby boy I am trying to protect from what ever this is! Looking at what the doctor said its molloscum but having researched this on websites it seems to appear in clutters and more than one spot!
My husband once opened up he app when it resembled a pimple like spot an apparently it bled quiet a bit, but then it reappeared and has stayed put!!

My question is to anyone who has had experience with this horrid virus and if the spot looks anything like molloscum? I keep it covered in plaster with either tea tree or manuka honey on it. The picture of the spot Is on my profile.

it does look a bit like molluscum and it can be isolated to just 1 spot (my nephew had one on the back of his neck). Both dd and ds have had it although dd had a worse case than ds - I tried a few things that didnt work (on dd) but they went away by themselves (eventually).

Thank you very much, it's eventually turning nasty after two says if manuka honey on it, it's almost burst and raw/red. Hopefully it will heal soon

Apparently they are at their most contagious when they burst, so if possible keep it covered. We have been battling the dreaded mollascum for the last six months. At the moment I think I am winning! It sounds like mollascum because my son had one spot for ages, then it burst and I think he touched it and then it spread. (Obviously didn't know all this at the time). Good luck and if anyone else knows of a magic cure out there please let me know. I have tried tea tre oil, thuja, sudacream, and poxiderm (which seems to be the most successful). Oilatum bath seems to help, and I may give the honey a go, my poor ds had them all over his neck but they are slowly going. Good luck. Hope they clear up soon.

Ps just looked at the photo. It looks like mollascum although I'm no doctor!

Aww bless hon, I know it's a horrible virus! The honey seemed to destroy the spot in my case - it's still raised but all the yellow gunk has gone. We tried tea tree also but it didn't help much. He's developed exzema around the spot as we kept it covered with plasters. Try manuka on the spot and cover with plaster. I'm terrified it may return on my baby boy!!
