i know this is small fry compared to some of the health concerns on here but I'm so fed up of my DS being so unwell with bloody tonsillitis.
Day 3 now and food over past few days has totalled one raisin and a bite of tinned pear. Having to syring fluids in.
His muffin tops have gone over his nappy. I can see his ribs. He winces when he swallows despite ibruprofen and paracetamol and abx.
That is all.
Feels better to let it out. Agh.

Sad

How old is he? How many days has he been on antibiotics?

If 48 hours + and there's been no improvement I'd take him back.

He's 22 months - this is third full day of abx and slightly improved, in as much as he's eaten half an egg custard and a biscuit.
It's really knocked him for six. He has lots of ear infections from glue ear (already has grommets) and I thought they were evil but this has been much worse....

You poor thing and your poor wee boy Sad. Tonsillitis sucks.....

Hope he's feeling better by now.

Probably too late to help but in future Difflam spray is excellent for pain relief in tonsillitis. Ask your GP or get from chemist.
