DD1 (6) high temp. Do I bathe/cool her down or not?

A bit confused about the advice regarding this.

DD has tonsilitis and a high temp. Calpol reduced it for a little while but I checked it just now and back up to 103 so I have given Nurofen.

She is exhausted and sleeping now.

Do I need to cool her down or not.

The room is not very warm. She has a pj top on and is lying under a light blanket.

Thanks

bump

She is still asleep but temp has gone up a bit. Gave the Nurofen 15 mins ago so will probably need longer to work.

I'd remove tha blanket if you can and put a fan on if you have one - just to cool the air around her, don't chill her.

Sponging is no longer recommended as it can cause the body to shiver thus raising the fever higher.

How long since she had calpol?

Is she on antibiotics?
