Ascended Testicles in 10 yr old.

I have twin boys age 10 - they both had descended testicles at birth & check ups. I noticed in the summer that one of my lads looked different 'down below' to his brother as in twin's 1 testicles had dropped right into the scrotum & the other not. I've just been to see the dr who has told me she can't find them & we've been sent to the urologist in December. Has anyone had this happen in an older child?

I thought I'd give an update in case anyone faces this in the future. We've just been to see the consultant who could palpitate (find) my sons left testicle but the right testicle can't be brought down & hurt during the examination. The good news if the left testicle should sort itself out in time but the right side will probably need operating on. We're waiting for an appointment for a scan to see what the plan of action will be. My ds is being a real trooper & was more upset about going to school after seeing the consultant rather than going to the hospital.
