Slapped Cheek?

DD 9.9 has woke up this morning with a raised hot itchy bright red rash up both her cheeks, I'm guessing that its slapped cheek, we have never had this virus.

I have gave her anti histimine for the itch, I have kept her off school (no idea if this is right) if it still looks the same tomorrow I will take her to the GP.

Anything I should be doing or does this not sound like slapped cheek and something else?

Don't know but keep her away from anyone who is PG as it is harmful to the baby.

How long do I have to keep her off school for? she is driving me nuts already!!
