High temp, sore mouth

Ds (2 1/2) has had temp since yesterday morning. Calpol and ibuprofen just about holding it off. Looks pale, phlegmy sounding cough and complaining of sore mouth. Could that be his way of telling me he has a sore throat? Will prob go to ooh if think could be tonsillitis or something. Has had febrile convulsion before (dd 6 had milions) with ear infection/sore throat.

That is early! I hope by now he's managed to have a drink - dehydration will make him feel much worse I'd imagine.

Maybe you could rub a little teething gel on the very sore bits - something mild like Dentinox?

Or just invest in some stickers to give when he does manage a sip of fluid? My DD (2.10) would sell her soul for a sticker! Grin

Fell back to sleep on sofa and has now woken up. Is perkier and had some sips of chocolate milk. Smile
