DS 21mo has had a cough on and off for 2 weeks. Nurse has prescribed amoxicillin despite saying she thinks it is viral and therefore will not help. Sent away with a prescription and told it's up to me if he has it or not. Don't want to drug him up if not needed but don't want poor DS to suffer either, wwyd? TIA.

I could be you. Never thought of yoghurt, brilliant! I think I'll go dig out the medicine spoon.

It is, DS has had it since 10 months so doesn't protest anymore. He knows one way or another he's going to have to take it so happily takes it now. The first few times he had it was a serious battle of will.

Hopefully your DC won't have to take it so often.
