Ear infections

Hi my little girl has a really angry ear infection diagnosed sat its now tues and though the whaling has stopped she still seems unwell. I don't think the antibiotic is helping. She's eaten hardly anything for days but I've put her back on formula. She sleeps all day really and I'm still giving her calpol and nurofen does this all sound normal for an ear infection? They told me at hospital it would last 3 days. She still has a runny nose too....

I would take her back

You should see an improvement in 2 - 3 days when starting ABs

Antibiotics don't help all ear infections.

I would go and check with the GP. Has her drum burst? That can make them unwell for ages, although once it's burst usually the pain is gone. She may have got a secondary infection unrelated to the ear infection.
