My 9 month old ds has picked up a stomach bug from his older brother who was ill a few days ok. No diarrohea but the poor baby was up all night and was sick several times.
Anyway, he has no interest in eating solids but i'm sure I heard from somewhere that you shouldn't give milk to children who are vomiting. Is this an old wives tale or should I not give my 9 month old any milk (formular fed)until he is better? He has been drinking water to avoid dehydration

If he's hungry I'd definitely feed him milk - I think its an old wives tale, good that he's drinking water though!

current advice is to continue with normal milk feeds and to feed solids if they want them, preferably starchy food e.g. toast, pasta, rice, etc

My dd had a sickness bug a few months ago and doctor said no milk just clear liquids with dioralyte in if they'll take it. Milk curdles and sits on the stomach, it did seem to be every time we gave her milk it made her worse.

according to this, Do not stop giving your baby milk. Give the extra fluid as an addition to milk.
