Big boil on 3 week old baby's bottom

I'm in the GP waiting room in the 'emergency' list. Ds3 suddenly developed big, angry looking spot with yellow head on inside left buttock. It's the width of a 20p piece and he screams when I wipe him to change him.

Wtf? Where has this come from? It lOoks angry and raw and possibly infected. And now I've got to go and get Ds2 from nursery. Sigh.

Using Sudocrem but what else can I do?

Tea tree oil cream?

I reckon the right place to be was waiting for an emergency appointment with the GP. How did it go?

I had to leave before a doc could see the boil to pick up ds2 from nursery.

So I spent the weekend lavishing the area with germolene at every nappy change and it subsided within two days. Thank goodness. It was angry, red, big and pus filled. Not good but all ok now. Thank you.
