I've noticed DS doing this over the last couple of weeks. Am not sure whether to take him to a doctor or optician first. Not just when he's watching television, seems to be most of the time, nowadays.

Has anyone experienced this? Would be grateful if you could shed some light.

Thanks Thanks.

My DS gets this. In his case it's dry eyes. The doctor will give you some drops.

My DS had this also at similar age. It was just a habit tic and he grew out of it.

It's quite common for children to develop facial ticks at this age and they generally tend to disapear of their own accord. Might be worth getting it checked just in case but if is just a tick then don't draw attention to it.

My son had this at about that age, it was a phase, lasted a few months. He's 11 now and it hasn't happened in years.

Thanks all, you have reassured me! I'll take him to the doctor next week, to be on the safe side.
