Verrucas, anyone recommend a treatment?

dS has 3 big verrucas come up and 2 of them are on the ball of a foot and are tender when he walks. Is there a recommended treatment or one you've used that has had any success? DS is 9 and the verrucas are huge!

The Duct Tape treatment was the only thing that got rid of mine - they were very stubborn!

I second duct tape. Got some on as we speak in fact!

I third duct tape (DD used to call it duck tape, and DS with his poor auditory memory thought it was goose tape It is the only one worth trying and has worked on both warts and verrucas in our house.

A pin, tweezers and just dig at it! That's what my dad used to do with me. Looking back kind of enjoyed it!

I tried the duct tape method out of desperation. I was extremely sceptical about it but to my amazement it got rid of my three stubborn blighters, and they've never returned.

Persistence is the key to success, I feel - don't be in too much of a hurry to abandon it if you don't get speedy results.

Glad to learn you found it worked on warts, too - I was told off on here for recommending it for warts!

Yes, just leave it on/replace as necessary. Works a treat, unlike the highly unpleasant liquid nitrogen treatment!

Oh yes, it is SO satisfying to peel the tape off the day the whole verrucca comes out stuck to it, leaving a lovely hole in the foot!

Adversecamber - the little shit! Reminds me of when DS squeezed a massive spot I'd been looking forward to getting my nails into for hours.

Many thanks all, I will have a go with the duct tape. I am relieved there is a consensus, there seem to be loads of things you can buy and I had no idea what to choose. I just can't imagine digging them out with a pin, must be far too squeamish ILovemyman.

DS had a big verruca recently and we got somethign from Boots - paint it on and it makes the verruc adie - took a few days then it fell off and left a deep hole whicjh magically filled itself in over the next week or so...
