Hi,

DS has been really scratch at his head recently and I was worried he might have picked up nits from nursery.

On checking his head, he's got what looks like cradle cap, yellowish scabby stuff just on the top of his head.

How do I get rid of it? He never had it as a baby, do i just use the normal cradle cap shampoo?

Ttia

If its cradle cap, leave it. You don't need to do anything. It looks grim but shouldn't cause any discomfort. If you're not sure, ask your HV to take a look to confirm.

Thought my dd had cradle cap at this age but She has curly hair so I would put a blob of conditioner on to keep it in place so wasn't sure if it was the build up of that or actually cradle cap
I just put a lot of baby oil on her scalp and massaged it and find a lot of it came off
