DS 6 abdominal pain

My DS who is 6 has been extremely lethargic since Thursday. It started of with just tiredness and a real bad mood but by Frudy evening he had started to say it was tummy ache. Left a bowl by his bed overnight, kept checking him, no rich food etc. Nothing happened. He just lies on the sofa all limp saying it hurts, but then has a fifteen minute or so burst of 'energy' every so often. I say energy, he asks for his toys or a drink or his DSi, as opposed to disinterest in anything and snappy/huffy due to the pain. Anyway the pain has been on an off since then, so DH took him to the walk in centre yesterday evening. The doctor he saw said it was impossible to narrow it down, but he had a possible grumbling appendix or 'slow' appendicitis. Said DH could take him home and monitor him, or go to A and E, but it would probably just be overnight monitoring there too. DH said he'd bring him home. Doctor gave him a list of things to look out for. He came home and went to bed. Almost straightaway fell asleep. At 3 this morning I was woken by him moaning in pain. It had woken him from sleep. Gave him ibuprofen and got him in bed with us. He kept up the sudden groans and whimpers until dropping off at 5am. He woke at 7am and said he felt fine. Had his breakfast and within 10 minutes was in agony again. More ibuprofen and now he's lying on the sofa in pain again. Flinched if I go near his tum :(
Shall I take him to A and E or will they say it's just a bug?

Go to A&E they can do blood tests and find out what is causing the pain x x

I would go to A&E, if its waking him from his sleep it must be painful. Good luck Smile
