Ds1 swallowed a hard boiled sweet and now complaining of lump in throat

I could kick myself for giving him one, but I did. I told him to keep it outside his teeth. He's swallowed it by accident after a few minutes without biting it. I have learnt my lesson.

Now, this was this morning and he has been saying he has a lump in his throat all day. Eating and drinking fine. He says he can't cough.

Now my rational side is telling me, he's fine. But my irrational side is telling me it could be in his throat somewhere?!?

Wwyd?

I suspect it will disolve if it is somewhere, so make sure he has lots of water, otherwise phone nhs direct for advice.

I hope it all works out.

first thought is to give him hot drinks - on the premiss this will dissolve the sugar sweet?

Hope someone else can advise
