Stomach ache and weight loss

My Dd is five and a half , for the past month she's been complaining of pains in her tummy , didn't seem to serious and she is eating as normal, but I put her on the weighing scales today after noticing her trousers seemed a bit big on her and she's lost 5 lbs since I last weighed her about 2 months ago . She's generally not a complainer and her energy seem ok, she has also started suffering a lot of nose bleeds 4 this week . Any ideas what could be the matter? Should I just monitor her weight for a while or take her to the doctor now ?

5lbs seems a big weight loss for a child that age. My 4 yo only weighs 29lbs so a weight loss of that amount would be one sixth of his weight! I'd take her to the doctor tbh.

Can I ask why you've been weighing her though? I only know my ds's weight as I had to weigh him to check suitability for a car seat. She's not picking up any negativity about weight from anywhere is she?

I only weighed her because her trousers were falling off her , the scales are in the bathroom so it's not uncommon for her to stand on them when getting ready for her bath , she only does it to see the numbers move and has no idea what they mean . Dd is a complete chocoholic ( if she was given the chance) who couldn't care less what she weighs . Thaks for the reply pigeon I think I will take her to the doctors.
