Lice/Nits....conditioner or oil?

I am constantly battling the dreaded nits with my 3DCs. Have managed to get hold of a Nitty Gritty comb and have used it twice on all of them.
But they are back!
I have always used bog standard conditioner with the comb. Should I use oil instead? Does the oil make them come out easier?
Am I using too much conditioner/not enough?
Why do they keep coming back?

have you tried the nits shampoo? hedrin 4% lotion is an excellent nits shampoo that u can leave it on overnight as it kills the eggs too. just follow the instructions and it is v effective.

prob cos youve not killed the eggs, its constantly coming back.

Have used that shampoo before, will give it another try, thanks.
