my DS complains of pains in his legs a few times a week, at first i thought he was just stalling because of bedtime but hes started waking up with them too,
are these likely to be growing pains? i was thinking maybe restless leg syndrome which i suffer from but i usually only get it when im tired and it doesnt ever wake me up
have any of your DCs ever suffered with growing pains and what did you do to ease them?

Mine gets that. I find a hot water bottle helps. I did take mine to the drs and they did blood tests to rule various things out, might be an idea.

how old is he?

My DS (nearly 3) complains of this a lot, especially in the mornings. He is very tall for his age and growing really fast (an inch in the past 10 weeks). I had wondered whether I should take him to a doc but apparently this sort of pain is quite common.

He also (when tired) falls over a lot - or sits down and says he's fallen over - I wonder if he is 'growing into' his new gangly limbs!

my ds is 3.3 and is also quite tall for his age (often gets mistaken for a 4yo)
the hot water bottle sounds like a good trick
i was also wondering about the drs but thought id see if anyone elses dcs experienced them too
