My daughter is almost 2 as she has always been slim in the arms & legs but her tummy stick out like a balloon!! Recently it appears bigger and hate to say been looks like a pregnant round belly & is hard. I know large tummys are common in toddlers but how large is too large??

We're all different so it's probably fine but it's worth mentioning to your GP or HV next time you see them or if you think it's still growing or causing her discomfort.

My DD is the same, at nearly 22 months. Her twin brother has a flat tummy unless he's had an enormous tea.

I guess they're all just a different shape :) But no harm in asking the HV or GP next time you see them :)

DD was like this, she turned out to have issues with constipation.

I wouldn't be so bothered about the roundness, but if it feels hard then yep, best to get it checked out.

My dd1 has this. Her tummy has always been huge (abdominal girth was off the chart on her 20 week scan) and is hard as well. I'm fairly convinced that something is not quite right with her digestive system but she's terrified of doctors and it isn't causing her too much problem at the moment so I keep putting off getting it checked out.

If she's well in herself (no fever, strange poo etc) then I wouldn't worry. Does she still fit in her trousers etc?
Otherwise it might be enlarged liver/spleen. But unless there's something that's bothering her, I'm pretty sure she's ok.
