Thread worm advice please!

I found a single worm in DS2's poo on Tuesday afternoon. We all took an Ovex that day and none of the rest of us has any symptoms but we have upped our hygeine routines.

Today the number of visible worm's in DS2's poo has increased. Does this mean the Ovex hasn't worked, or does it take longer than 3 days for them to work?

Were they alive?

I'm sure you can take another one after 2 weeks if you need to.

Shower in the morning to rid the eggs, keep nails short, change bedsheets and hoover!

In my experience it takes a few days for Ovex to work. AKAIK the Ovex works by stopping the worms from being able to absorb food so it doesn't work overnight!
Damp clean the whole house. A nightmare I know. Change all bedding and towels. And wash favourite cuddly toys. Hoover everything. All wear pants in bed and shower the area carefully every morning before donning clean pants. Repeat in eveing. Keep nails short and discourage nail biting and thumb finger sucking.
Be careful with dirty washing. The eggs can become airborn and land on other surfaces, get picked up on hands and transferred back to mouths....
I have to say we have had a few bouts and this regime has cleared us each time but then DD brings them in again from school....the curse of a little thumb sucking girl...

Yes Bonkers they were very wriggly!

Thanks Happypiglet that's very thorough advice. I didn't realise the eggs could become airborn.
