DS, 4yo, fever & sleep

How much sleep is too much? DS has never had a fever since he was a small baby. He's been sleeping on/off for nearly 3 hours (US time). I know sleep is good but it's so unlike him. He was quiet all morning too. I'm trying to keep fluids up and he's drinking water when offered.

...so long as he is rousable, drinking and temp is coming down with appropriate meds, he is not twitching/fitting and he focusses on you when he wakes I would expect him to be ok.

How old is he and how high the temp??

He's definitely perking up. He ate dinner and his temp is heading down so I'm pretty sure he's on the mend. It just freaked me out since it was the polar opposite to his norm.

I let DS 2 sleep yesterday afternoon for 3 hours due to fever.
He had a very restless night!
There was medicine wearing off waking but also I want to watch tractors demanding as he wasn't as tired as he should have been!

Hope all on the mend
